ABOUT
My name is Helen Possas. I know how difficult it can be to find a reliable, consistent and experienced Piano Teacher able to motivate, inspire and properly guide students of all ages and levels towards learning how to play the piano with success.
As an experienced and passionate Piano Instructor of 36 years with two Degrees in Music and past owner of two Music Schools. I started piano lessons at the age of 4 years old and teaching at the age of 15 years old. I believe in an individual approach that gives each of my students a comprehensive music education in a constructive and positive setting.
I design my lessons with the right balance of individualized attention, patience, practical training and positive encouragement. Each student receives customized lessons based on their needs and wants, age, personality, level of knowledge, musical style and their goals, always with an emphasis on confidence-boosting.
I make playing the piano fun, enjoyable and attainable. I believe music is an innate talent of everyone. Some learn faster, some need extra TLC. But in the end, it is all about how to bring it out of each person. Having the right teacher does make a difference.

Her studio is very comfortable, beautiful decorated for teaching lessons with an easy to get to location in South Tampa.
I also became a student of hers after attending my daughter's lessons and found Theory lessons really interesting. Now we both take lessons, and it is a great bonding experience between me and my daughter.
My daughter has been attending lessons for 4 years this year and she also started drums lessons now. She has learned how to compose her own music several times and performed it at the recitals as well. We love it and we played a DUET at one of the recitals.
We are having so much fun!

Set in a formal setting, our twice-a-year recitals are optional and easy going.
Students of all ages choose their own song without having the pressure to memorize it.
My Student's Recitals are more about learning how to perform, having fun and building self-confidence!
Students receive a nice Trophy for performing.
